Tangy ketchup taste!
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
24 oz. can tomato paste
3 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons salt, plus 1 teaspoon
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground cloves
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 ½ teaspoons celery seed
1 ½ teaspoons ground allspice
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper, or to taste
1 cup cider vinegar
Directions
Add all ingredients except vinegar and simmer covered for 45 minutes. Stir frequently so ketchup doesn’t stick. Add vinegar, simmer covered for an additional 15 minutes. Makes about 3 pints.
